SELINSGROVE, Pa. - The Juniata College women's soccer team battled Landmark Conference rival Susquehanna University for 110 minutes without producing a victor, as the teams played to a scoreless tie on Tuesday night in Selinsgrove, Pa. Juniata's best scoring opportunities came from Sarah Ruggiero (Bangor, Pa./Bangor), who hit the Susquehanna cross bar in the first half, and from Caitlin Bigelow (La Mesa, Calif./Academy of Our Lady of Peace), who hit the post of the Crusader goal in the second half. The Crusaders outshot Juniata 13-10 (7-4-3, 1-2-2 Landmark), and held a 9-5 advantage in corner kick opportunities. Juniata keeper Lisa Russo (Haskell, N.J./Lakeland) recorded 10 saves in 110 minutes of work, while Susquehanna's Meredith Tompeck was credited with nine saves in the Crusader goal. The Eagles have a lengthy break in the schedule until their next contest; they return to action on Thursday, Oct. 25, when they host Mount Aloysius College in a non-conference tilt. -30-
