HANOVER, Ind. -- Sophomore Laura Rupprecht (Jefferson, Md./Brunswick) finished eighth overall to lead the Juniata College women\'s cross country team to a fourth place finish out of 12 teams, at the Hanover Invitational meet, Saturday morning in Hanover, Ind. The men finished sixth out of 12 teams, with both teams running over the same course that will be used at the 2008 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships. Rupprecht finished with a time of 20:02, followed by Aubrey Cyphert (North East, Pa./Seneca) in 19th position with a time of 20:38. Meghan Jones (Meadville, Pa./Meadville) was 20th overall in a time of 20:42, Megan McQuillan (Severna Park, Md./Seton Keough) was 34th overall in 21:19, and Megan Peterson (Canton, Pa./Canton) was 65th in 22:50. On the men\'s side, Matt Bailey (East Petersburg, Pa./Hempfield) was the top Eagle finisher in 10th place with a time of 27:28, followed by Sam Williams (Roaring Spring, Pa./Central) in 18th position with a time of 28:04. Jason Hoover (Wilmington, Del./Brandywine) was 46th in 29:15, Eric Hoover (Wilmington, Del./Brandywine) was 48th in 29:22, and Ryan Conrad was 70th in 30:11. Both squads will be a tri-meet with Gettysburg College and Messiah College next weekend, before returning home for their own Eagle Cross Country Invitational. -30-
