HUNTINGDON, Pa. - For the second time in as many days the Juniata College men\'s tennis team earned a victory over a Commonwealth Conference opponent as the Eagles topped Commonwealth foe Lebanon Valley by a 6-3 Saturday afternoon in Huntingdon. Juniata (2-0, 2-0 Commonwealth) swept all three double matches and then held on by claiming three singles wins to earn the victory. Lebanon Valley (3-6, 0-1 Commonwealth) picked up wins at first, second and fifth singles, but it was not enough to recover and claim the win. Juniata got started strong by winning all three doubles matches by 8-6 scores. Brandon Long (Lebanon/Lebanon) and Jarrad Silver (Walt Whitman/Bethesda, Md.) claimed the win at first doubles, Aaron Rhodes (Huntingdon/Huntingdon) and Casey Chew (Phoexnixville/Phoenixville) won at second doubles and Jonathan Skoner (Central Catholic/Pittsburgh) and Jau Feixas (University of Barcelona/Barcelona, Spain) were the third doubles winners. Silver, Long and Chew were then able to secure the win for Juniata with victories in singles action. Chew rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 win at sixth singles to put the Eagles one point away from the win. Lebanon Valley then completed its singles wins to leaving Juniata with a 4-3 lead with two matches left. But Juniata secured the win as Silver won 6-4, 6-4 at third singles, and Long completed the win by winning a second-set tiebreaker to post a 6-2, 7-6 triumph at fourth singles.
